the purpose of tutorial notes is to:
- set an agenda for the tutorial to identify specific areas you want to discuss eg: report on activities undertaken since last meeting, insights made, issues encountered, progress made and future plans, ask for specific information
- record the conversation capture information and advice is a useful format
- reflect on the conversation how has the meeting helped your thinking move forward (or not!)
- set goals which are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Agreed, Realistic and within a Timescale). These can be agreed in the tutorial or set by the student after the tutorial, or a mix of both
You will probably take handwritten or audio notes in the tutorial – these should be written up and put on a private part of your blog as soon as possible after the tutorial.
